Wallmonkeys.com is a privately held company. We are located in Maryland.

The idea for Wallmonkeys came to me while flying home from a business trip. I was filling out one of those envelopes for my son’s baseball team. I couldn’t believe I was about to order another baseball card magnet that sticks on my fridge. (You know, the one with the oh-so fake background of some major league stadium.) There had to be something better to order. There wasn’t. Then I started to think about the Fathead commercials I saw on TV. Derek Jeter and A-Rod may be very cool (yes, I am a HUGE Yankees fan), but my son and daughter are COOLER! And since neither Mr. Jeter nor Mr. Rodriguez lives in my house, I don’t really care to put them on my wall.

That’s when the idea hit me. Why not take great pictures of my kids, contour-cut them, and make them the star? So that’s what I did. We took some pictures, and paid way too much to have samples made. The kids loved them, and so did all their friends. Moms, dads, grandparents, and everyone else at the baseball field wanted one. And not just for sports. They came up with ideas faster than I could write them down. Sweet Sixteen’s, birthday parties, pets, motorcycles, etc. The only problem was, I didn’t have the printer, the vinyl, or any printing business at all for that matter.

That takes us to where we are today. In just a few short months we have accomplished a lot. We built a web site, purchased the finest large format digital printers available, hired some very sharp people with lots of experience in the digital printing industry to help get things going, and tested our products and materials many, many times. We are now ready to go.
